A story rooted in time

For 128 years, Pépinières Meylan has been laying the discreet foundations of know-how handed down and reinvented by each generation. Here are the highlights of our history.

1898

Léon Meylan leaves his native Vallée de Joux. Curious and passionate, he travels around Europe to learn about different horticultural practices. Back in Switzerland, he settles in Renens, west of Lausanne, near a strategic marshalling yard, and launches his first crops. A pioneer, he produces for a number of large estates and sometimes for municipalities.
